Do as much as you can or as little as you want. Sherwood is a very relaxed place, children enjoy playing in the
garden and exploring the woodland and there are plenty of walks straight from the front door.

There is masses to see and do on trips out that won't cost a fortune (Visit Somerset) especially if you take a picnic
although no one will try to stop you if you wish to spend one
.
Last year my guests had wonderful days on the Somerset coast at Kilve and St. Audrie's Bay, walking on the
Quantocks, exploring the Mendips and Exmoor, visiting the Somerset levels and other sites of special scientific
interest and nature reserves. Some made trips to Lyme Regis over the Blackdown Hills others visited Wells,
Glastonbury and Bath to the East and Watchet, Dunster, Minehead and Porlock to the West.
You can choose a walk around Fyne Court or visit Hestercombe Gardens both very nearby or to go further to other
National Trust properties such as Montacute House, Barrington Court, Tintinhull Gardens, Lytescary Manor and
Glastonbury Tor or on to Cleevedon Court, Tyntesfield, Knightshayes or Killerton all are within approximately a 40
minute drive.
