The cottages are ready for guests' arrival at 15:00 and we ask you to leave by 10.00 am on your day of departure. Bed linen, towels and tea-cloths are supplied. A cot and high chair are available at no extra charge. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement at a cost of £20 per animal per week. As there can be sheep or livestock nearby, dogs must be kept under control. We ask that dogs are not allowed onto beds or other furniture and should not be left without prior arrangement. Please bring your dog's sleeping mat/basket Heating, electricity and hot water are included in the rental charge; in return we ask you to respect the environment and to turn off lights and heating that are not needed. Each cottage has central heating or electric heaters . For the moment, we've decided to waive charges for logs for the wood-burning stove in the Brew House We reserve the right to charge for any damage done to the property during your letting period. Short-break bookings may be moved to a different cottage of similar or greater capacity however we will try to fulfil your original request and will inform you of any changes, if they do occur, prior to the commencement of your holiday. Numbers of residents must not exceed those stated on the booking form without previous agreement. If we do agree to allow the number of residents to exceed the stated capacity on the price list, a charge will be made for each additional person. For the comfort and security of all residents, please ask in advance if you want to have friends or relatives to visit during your stay. We reserve the right to request that non-residents leave the premises at any time. Payments: We need written confirmation within seven days of a telephone or e-mail booking together with a deposit. The balance will be due one month before your holiday. Once a booking has been made a legally-binding contract exists and full payment will be required, therefore we recommend you consider taking out cancellation insurance. Should you have to cancel a confirmed booking this must be done in writing. We will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if successful, any payments received, including the deposit, will be returned, less costs. Please note that all aspects of your visit are at your own risk. Sherwood has been around in roughly its present incarnation since 1766 and not surprisingly door heights are not standard, wild animals and general growth and decay conspire to ensure no surface remains even for long and the quarry tile paths and flagstone entrances around the main house can become very slippery in wet or icy weather. Please take all this into consideration while enjoying the cottages and grounds. If you are bringing children it is hoped they will enjoy Sherwood as many generations of children before them have enjoyed Sherwood but their safety will remain your responsibility at all times. |
